Some Outreach and Service
In spring 2018 I started as a volunteer Editor Assistant at the Diversity Reading List in Philosophy, where I help compile work by authors from underrepresented groups for use in research and teaching. Our database is an increasingly impressive resource and well worth checking out!
Last year I got to serve as a judge for the National High School Ethics Bowl through the Parr Center's award-winning Philosophy Outreach program. This year, I'm slated to serve as an assistant coach and consultant for a team competing in the North Carolina regional competition.
Also through the Parr Center, this fall I'll be helping to lead a philosophy discussion group at the Carol Woods Retirement Community (which I'm told houses more decorated historians than most major US departments!).
Details about some other service activities can be found on my CV.
