Some Outreach and Service In spring 2018 I started as a volunteer Editor Assistant at the Diversity Reading List in Philosophy, where I help compile work by authors from underrepresented groups for use in research and teaching. Our database is an increasingly impressive resource and well worth checking out! In spring 2018, I got to serve as a judge for the National High School Ethics Bowl through the Parr Center's award-winning Philosophy Outreach program. In 2018-2019, I served as an assistant coach and consultant for a team competing in the North Carolina regional competition. Also through the Parr Center, in fall 2019 I helped lead a philosophy discussion group at the Carol Woods Retirement Community (which I'm told houses more decorated historians than most major US departments!). |
